Abstract

To solve the invalidation problem of Dempster evidence combination rule with high conflict, distinguish the conflict evidences and measuring the grade of the evidence conflict first is necessary. Based on analyzing the relationship between paradox and evidence conflict, the disadvantages of some popular measure methods for conflict evidences is indicated, and an effective conflict measurement method is proposed. The similarity measuring coefficient is defined for measuring the conflict between two pieces of evidence based on the modified probability distribution function in the new method. Numerous examples are given to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method.
