Abstract

C/SiC pipe is a kind of typical structural unit, it plays an important role in transmission, supporting and bearing function, this paper studies the effect which dimension parameter makes on the tensile property through the finite element numerical calculation based on laminated plate theory. The effect of dimension variation on tensile property of C/SiC pipe is studied. Results show that, as the increase of the pipe length and thickness, the fracture strength decreases, however the fracture tensile strain increases; when the inner diameter of C/SiC pipe changes, the tensile fracture strength fluctuates in small range, and the strain almost keeps constant.
