Abstract

A stratospheric satellite is a new kind of aerostat, and consists of stratosail, superpressure helium balloon, tether and energy system. It flies around the earth from east to west in the stratosphere at the altitude 35 km, and its flight from north to south can be controlled by the traction of the stratosail. In this paper, we analyze the wind field of the stratosphere and present the trajectory control principle of the stratospheric satellite, establish the model of stratospheric satellite and simulate its control system of the stratospheric satellite from north to south. The simulation results show that the control system can achieve the steady control.
