Abstract
ZnSe microspheres with uniform size and good dispersion were synthesized by chemical vapor deposition route, using NiSe2 as the precursor. The microstructures and morphologies of as-synthesized ZnSe microspheres were characterized by XRD, EDS and FESEM. The results indicated that the as-synthesized ZnSe microspheres had a cubic zinc blende structure with a diameter of 800-1000 nm and near-ideal stoichiometric ratio. The temperature dependent photoluminescence indicated that the ZnSe microspheres had luminescence peaks at 550-640 nm, which could be attributed to the of Zn vacancies and impurities.
