Synchronization of two chaotic nonlinear gyros using active control

Abstract

Chen recently studied chaos and chaos synchronization of a symmetric nonlinear gyro with numerical methods. In this Letter, the active control technique is applied to synchronize two nonlinear gyros. Based on Lyapunov stability theory and Routh-Hurwitz criteria, the nonlinear controller and some generic sufficient conditions for global asymptotic synchronization are attained. Numerical simulations demonstrate the validity and feasibility of the proposed method.
