Abstract

This paper presents the designing of a non-uniform meta-surface lens antenna for gain enhancement, a waveguide antenna with rotated polarization and a meta-surface prism for antenna main beam manipulating. The non-uniform meta-surface lens antenna and meta-surface prism designs consist of a non-uniform meta-surface and a simple patch antenna (which is called the source antenna). The waveguide antenna with rotated polarization consists of a non-uniform meta-surface for polarization rotation purpose and a section of open-ended waveguide. By using different layouts of unit cells on the meta-surfaces, the gain, polarization or main-beam direction can be enhanced or manipulated as expected.
