Abstract
A SiC-WSi2/MoSi2 multilayer oxidation protective coating for carbon/carbon (C/C) composites was prepared by using pack cementation process. By SEM, XRD, TG-DTG and isothermal oxidation test, the microstructure and phase component of the coating were analyzed, and anti-oxidation mechanism of the coating at 1 500°C were studied and explained. The results show that the compactness and stability of the coating is improved comprehensively by alloying and compounding coating materials, and a dense SiO2 film is formed on the surface of the coating during oxidation effectively to prevent the diffusion of oxygen into the coating, which makes the coating possess excellent oxidation protective ability.
