Abstract

The oxidation of C/C composites at high temperature over 450℃ severly restricts its application as high temperature structural materials. Self-healing of C/C composites in wide temperature range for against oxidation is the future development direction. The research status of three kinds of self healing, including low-temperature self healing, mediate-temperature self healing and high-temperature self healing, two aspects of component design and structural design of self-healing technique were summarized. The present problems and the potential development direction on the investigation of self healing of C/C composites for against oxidation at high temperature are also proposed.
