Stacking sequence effect on the failure process of woven carbon/glass hybrid laminate

Abstract

The effect of stacking sequence on the failure process of hybrid composite laminates under quasi-static loading and impact loading is investigated. The results reveal that stacking sequence affects the appearance or non-appearance of delamination and thus affects the failure process. The best stacking sequence which reduces the tensile stress concentration fact around failure link by approximately 10-20% is then obtained.
