Abstract

To understand the dynamic characteristics and performance patterns of variable-geometry ramjet nozzles, the paper proposes a research method based on the OpenFOAM. The impact of the dynamic characteristics of variable-geometry scramjet nozzles on parameters inside the combustion chamber was analyzed under different equivalence ratios and throat area expansion rates. The results indicate that the disturbances caused by different geometric throat expansion rates affect the amplitude of the pressure oscillations in the combustion chamber. Although the pressure oscillation amplitude decreases with an increasing geometric throat expansion rate, it does not affect the frequency of the pressure oscillations.
