This article has been retracted at the request of the Authors. The authors of the above-mentioned article wish to retract their publication due to the reuse of a scanning electron microscope (SEM) image without proper attribution. This image depicted Pure polyester fibers that were used in two different research works (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jmrt.2023.01.101 and https://doi.org/10.1016/j.synthmet.2022.117250), leading to a misrepresentation of data. The authors acknowledge that this compromises the integrity of their research and, therefore, they have decided to retract the article in accordance with their commitment to upholding the highest standards of research integrity. The authors apologize for any inconvenience caused to the readers, reviewers, and the editorial team. This retraction is being made to ensure transparency and to maintain the trust of the scholarly community. The scientific community takes a very strong view on this matter and apologies are offered to readers of the journal that this was not detected during the submission process.
