Abstract

Based on the precise requirement of infrared detection target size, target infrared imaging has increasingly become a key technology for weapon system development. For dim small targets in deep space background, the dispersion imaging in the infrared image makes the target become blurred, To accurately measure the size of the target in the dispersion image, the imaging principle and detector effect of the target should be analyzed. First of all, the dispersion theory model is studied in the process of target imaging. On the basis of the dispersion theory model, the diffraction and aberration phenomena in the optical system are analyzed, at the same time, the characteristic parameters which influence detector effect are studied. Finally, by using the dispersion phenomenon generated from the black body experiment, the dispersion aperture size is analyzed between different distances and temperatures. Based on the characteristics effect of the detector itself, a new infrared diffusion imaging model is proposed. The model is compared with the measured data in the experiment, which verifies that the improved dispersion model can well conform to the size of the target imaging. The proposed method in this paper can provide test basis for the target identification in the future infrared imaging system.
