Abstract
A review of the effect of Si element on titanium alloy was presented. The Si element existing shape in titanium alloy and the effect of Si on high-temperature properties were reviewed in details. Based on the existing publications and the relationship between thermal stability and creep properties, the effecting mechanism of Si element on high-temperature properties was summed up, and design philosophy of high-temperature titanium was output. The results will produce effect on the alloying design and further research of high-temperature titanium alloy.
