Reliability of load-sharing r-out-of-n: G system with components following Gamma degradation process

Abstract

For situations that some load-sharing k-out-of-n: G system comprises components following Gamma degradation process, the reliability model of such system was built through the converting components life time during different load levels with equivalent performance degradation model according to the features of Gamma process. Then the model was compared with the original model considering different choices of scale parameter of Gamma degradation process. Later, the Monte Carlo simulation method was established. The numerical example verified the feasibility of the model and the features of calculation time and accuracy formula method and simulation method were analyzed.
