Abstract

The reduced graphene oxide (RGO)-CoFe 2 O 4 composite was synthesized by a facile route. The morphology, microstructure and microwave electromagnetic properties of the composite were detected by means of XRD, TEM, SEM, XPS TGA, VSM and vector network analyzer. The maximum reflection loss (R L ) of the RGO-CoFe 2 O 4 reaches -44.1 dB at 15.6 GHz with a thickness of 1.6 mm, and the absorption bandwidth with the R L below -10 dB is up to 4.7 GHz (from 13.3 to 18.0 GHz) with a thickness of only 1.5 mm. The result demonstrates that the RGO plays a significant role in the microwave absorption proprieties of the RGO-CoFe 2 O 4 composite. It is believed that such composite will be applied widely in microwave absorbing area.
