Abstract
The recrystallization characteristics and kinetics of the alloy Ti-2Al-2. 5Zr under vacuum annealing at 650°C∼850°C have been investigated. The results show that a fine and homogeneous isoaxial recrystallization structure can be obtained during annealing at 700°C∼750°C. The recrystallization kinetics of the alloy Ti-2Al-2. 5Zr obeys the Avrami-Erofeev equation [ - ln(1 -α)]1/4 = kt. The calculated value of the alivation energy (Ea) for crystallization is 115. 25 kJ/mol.
