Abstract

The cross-spectrum method is most used to estimate the radial velocity of source. However, this method needs to measure the sound source for a long time, which reduces its use. To solve this limitation, we propose a velocity estimation method based on beamforming. This algorithm beamforms the pressure of different time in the velocity domain. This method is tested on simulated data and achieves robust results. Its capability is investigated via the SWellEx-96 experiment.
