Abstract

This paper proposes a method for generating radar high-resolution range profile (HRRP) using a scattered echo calculation model based on generalized radar cross section (GRCS). The results from this method are compared with those from the scattering center model (SCM). The method first uses the scattered echo calculation model to generate echo data in the near-field at different frequencies, then uses an inverse discrete Fourier transform (IDFT) to image the target. The results show that the proposed method produces more accurate and realistic imaging results.
