Abstract
Experimental investigations of pressure loss of the internal passage with rib turbulators and suction holes were carried out on proportionally enlarged model. The distributions of pressure drop coefficients were measured along the passage with Reynolds numbers changing from 40000 to 80000 and suction ratios (SR) changing from 0.30 to 0.60. Influences of Reynolds number and suction ratio on pressure loss were studied. Results indicate that pressure drop coefficients decrease as the suction ratio increases while the changing of Reynolds number contributes no remarkable effect on altering the value of pressure drop coefficients. In addition, a method to predict the pressure loss in the passage was provided.
