Abstract

In the production process of magnesium and magnesium alloys, it is necessary to prevent oxidation and burning. This process produces a lot of exhaust gases and solid residues, which not only pollute the environment, but also waste resources. According to the compositions and properties of the exhaust gases and solid residues, the methods that using water solution to absorb the exhaust gases, and the water to dissolve the solid residues were developed, by which the main composition of the flux used for refining can be reclaimed. The experimental results indicate that the technology can effectively reduce the discharge of exhaust gases and solid residues. The production of magnesium and magnesium alloys can achieve the aim of pollution-free.
