Abstract

This paper proposed a method of conformal antenna array pattern synthesis based on convex optimization model. By combining the HFSS and Matlab tools, a simulation and optimization loop can be integrated for the antenna array synthesis. A conformal microstrip antenna array was implanted using the proposed method and the narrow beam and low side-lobe properties were obtained. The simulated results show that the method has high stability and fast computing speed, which can be a potential candidate for engineering applications.
