Optimization design of composite cylindrical lattice structure

Abstract

Anisogrid (anisotropic grid) composite lattice structure can be formed by means of continuous filament winding along helical ribs and hoop ribs. A new design method was developed for composite lattice cylindrical structure. The method satisfies three constraint conditions, i.e. integral buckling of lattice structure, compressive strength of helical ribs and local buckling between two cross points of helical ribs. By introducing safety coefficients of integral buckling, local buckling, compressive strength and performing transformation treatment of the mathematical model to minimize the weight of lattice structure, design parameters of lattice structure were obtained. The method is effective for design and optimization of lattice structure.
