Abstract
Th genetic algorithm is more effective for us to apply it in tactical planning of air combat. The research results improve the tactical planning of air combat and make the genetic algorithm more effective. The selection of objective function, which is the key for applying genetic algorithm to tactical planning of air combat was discussed. The improvement of genetic algorithm and a numerical simulation example involving two fighters were presented.
