Abstract
We use the Neumann stochastic FEM to analyze stresses in composite pressure vessel under the action of random gas pressure, which is considered as a stochastic variable with normal distribution. The stochastic nature of loads, tensile strength and shearing strength is studied. Two numerical examples are given. The result shows that possible maximum stresses and their possible locations are prerequisite for the reliability estimation.
