Abstract
A dynamic balancing method for the flexible rotor of micro aeroengine is presented to meet the requirements of G6.3 standard. The rotor is replaced by a simplified model in order to facilitate calculations. After rotor is dynamically balanced, the residual unbalance is only about 50% of what is allowed by international standard G6.3. The dynamic balancing is further confirmed by putting the rotor through long-term test. The typical variation of overload coefficient with speed is shown. It can be seen that overload coefficient in general is only 1-3g, with a peak value of about 5.5g.
