Numerical simulation of slip flow characteristics of super-hydrophobic surface

Abstract

Calculation method for slip parameters of full development laminar flow in two infinity parallel flats was established. On the basis of the slip flow model of gas-layer supposition, a series of numerical simulations on slip flow characteristic of super-hydrophobic surface with regular microstructure were carried out through enacting composite boundary, including no-slip interface and free-shear interface. The simulation results show that the flow field information of slip length, slip velocity and flow field structure of super-hydrophobic surface can be gain accurately by the numerical simulation, and the influence rules of microstructure's geometry dimension on drag reduction effect can be disclosed.
