Abstract

At the beginning of the water impact, the aircraft or capsule structure suffers from serious impact load, which has an important effect on the safety of the structure and the people inside, such as aircraft ditching and capsule landing on water. Taking the wedge as an analysis object, the process of the wedge impact water is simulated by LS-DYNA and the pressures on the wedge surface are got. The numerical results are greed well with the test results of El-MahdiYettou, so the correctness of the simulation method is proved. The maximum values of the pressure with the respect of the wedge drop height, deadrise angle and mass are discussed. A valuable reference for the design of the aircraft and the capsule are obtained.
