Abstract

In this paper, we consider the underwater noncoherent detection fusion problem, where multiple sensors are used to determine the true state of target. we propose a novel strategy for underwater noncoherent detection fusion using multi-sensor, considering that multiple access schemes are able to offer high efficiency in bandwidth usage and consume less energy than parallel access channels, we introduce the multiple access scheme to the underwater target detection fusion field. The model of distributed detection fusion based on multiple access scheme is established, the energy of information received by the noncoherent detection fusion center is established as detection statistic, also with the Neyman-pearson rule, the closed expressions of detection probability and false alarm probability for fusion system are obtained. Numerical simulation results show that with the proposed new strategy we could improve the detection performance effectively under a given lower false alarm probability, the proposed method has high theoretical reference value to the establishment of remote underwater target detection system.
