Model-driven reconfiguration method of manufacturing execution system

Abstract

To deal with low efficiency and difficult management of the reconfiguration of component-based manufacturing execution system (MES), a model-driven engineering method was proposed. The reconfiguration was realized from life-cycle perspective and a higher abstraction level. The concept of reconfigurable asset was introduced and its meta-model was designed. A domain modeling language oriented to MES was established to describe requirements and decisions of the reconfiguration. Model transformation and storage technology of the reconfiguration process were also introduced. Finally the method was validated in an aerospace enterprise.
