Abstract

Various microwave effects on explosive materials were summarized in this study including microwave measurement of explosive performance, microwave application to explosives synthesis/preparation/desiccation/recycle, and microwave initiation of explosives materials. From microwave fundamental and selective heating effect to components, it was derivate that hotspot initiation theory should be effective in explanation of microwave initiation process including intentional/accidental initiation experiments and mechanism.
