Abstract
PS@CdS core-shell nanostructures were fabricated by microwave irradiation at 70°C from the aqueous solution of CdCl2, TAA, and PVP with PS microspheres without surface modification. The products were investigated by XRD, FE-SEM, TEM, IR, and Raman. CdS hollow spheres were easily obtained by removing the PS cores in toluene solution. The method presented here can be used for the preparation of other PS@II-VI semiconductor core-shell nanostructures and hollow spheres.
