Abstract
This paper identifies the bird's material parameters automatically by an optimization searching method when bird's constitutive model is selected. The method can replace the manual method which is troublesome, time wasting and subjective. A contact-impact coupling algorithm is applied to numerical simulation. The optimization objective is to minimize the square sum of percentage errors between test values and calculation results. Identification of two parameters is carried out and testifies the validity and reliability of optimization method when bird's constitutive model is selected as plastic kinematics model throughout a bird striking an aluminum panel. Identification of bird's material parameters will further perfect the coupling solution of FE numerical simulation for bird strike and provide much technical support for aircraft structures' anti-bird study.
