Abstract
In order to deal with the friction condition and the contact boundary condition between the billet and the die in the forging process of blades, the Bezier surface is used to generate three dimensional finite element meshes of the die. The dots scattered on the die are fitted first into a group of Bezier surface patches with meshes, and then these surface patches are jointed into a whole die surface mesh. Simulation results for several blade dies show that the generated die meshes can satisfied the requirements of 3D finite element analysis.
