Abstract

Cooperative detection with networked radars was an effective way of detecting the sea-skimming anti-ship cruise missile (ASCM). The compound form of K-distribution sea clutter model was introduced to calculate probability of detection of sea skimming target in sea clutter and noise, the detection performance of single air-borne radar and ship-borne radar was calculated and compared. The detection performance of 3 cooperation dispositions was evaluated with the criterion of coverage area ratio and mean track initiation distance. The result showed cooperative detection had prominently extend the high detection probability area, the max mean detection distance of cooperative detection was 3 times more than that of single ship-borne case, and the cooperation between air-borne radar and ship-borne radar had a better performance.
