Abstract

Organic laser diodes have long been a goal for semiconductor scientists, and a lot of research efforts in the past decade have focused attention on small-molecule or polymer semiconductors as a photonic platform. We present here our recent advances on the development of low-threshold organic lasing from well-defined semiconducting nanomolecular systems that combine precise chemical structures with good solution processibility and amorphous morphological stability.
