Abstract

Doped with 5% mol Yb3+ , matrix ceramic BaCeO3 powder was prepared by citrate Sol-Gel technology. DSC-TG curves of the sample from 25°C to 900°C were determined using a thermal analysis instrument and the sample was characterized by XRD, TEM and SEM. The results showed that the synthesis temperature of proton conductor former powder by Sol-Gel was lowered by 400∼600°C than by solid phase reaction and lowered by 150∼400°C than by oxalate coprecipitation. Low temperature combustion synthesis was easy to produce the loosened, uniform, and superfine powder with high surface activity.
