Abstract

Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communication has been developed in recent years to avoid collision, and the Global Positioning System (GPS) is generally used in navigation and positioning. The Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) can measure the distance between itself and target which could use in the V2V communication. In this paper, a LiDAR-based positioning for V2V using double difference method has been given. Firstly, the performance of LiDAR and the measurement of GPS have been analyzed, and then LiDAR and GPS have been combined to enhance the precision of navigation and positioning for the V2V communication. The experiment has been designed, and the analyzed results show the effectiveness of the new positioning method.
