Abstract
This chapter is dedicated to Professor C.S. Hsu for his 90th birthday. The materials presented in this chapter are motivated by Professor C.S. Hsu's work on cell-to-cell mapping. Based on the conception of digraph, a modified digraph cell mapping is suggested with several new definitions, which can approximate the invariant manifolds. In order to improve the accuracy and efficiency, an iterative digraph cell mapping method is presented through introducing the notion of a composite cell space, which can refine any interesting region of the cell state space.
