Abstract
Stereoscopic projection display is one of three-dimension(3D) display technologies, having good application potential. In this paper, the imaging principles of optical engine for stereoscopic projection display are reviewed. Three types stereoscopic projection display technologies, DLP(digital light processing), LCD(liquid crystal display) and LCoS(liquid crystal on silicon), are discussed respectively. Based on the analysis of factors impacting the 3D effect, methods are proposed to improve stereoscopic vision experience. Finally, performance evaluation and application prediction of these stereoscopic projection technologies are given.
