Abstract

A temperature control system was established to measure Jc in a LN2 temperature range (72 K-90 K). A sample of Bi-2223/Ag multifilamentary tape was immersed in LN2, and the desired temperature of the sample was attained by means of changing its saturated vapor pressure. The Jc(B,T) characteristics of Bi-2223/Ag multifilamentary tapes (19 and 37 filaments) in a LN2 temperature range (77 K-90 K) were measured using the measuring system.
