Abstract

The substrate architecture of carbon/carbon composite would affect its properties and production cost. Four kinds of substrate architecture (including 1K carbon cloth, 3K carbon cloth, 1K carbon cloth + carbon paper and 1K carbon cloth + carbon felt) are selected. The samples made by these kinds all have obvious pseudoplastic fracture behavior and the macroscopic appearance of bending fracture fractography shows a 'Z' shape. The sample made by 1K carbon cloth has the highest bending strength.
