Abstract
The present study aimed at high precision calculation of double curved composite by using programming element, which was an extension of 8-node shell element theory. It is found that stiffener has little influence on precision of calculation. In the view of precision and efficiency, this programming element can be applied to finite element analysis with or without stiffener, providing a quick solution to finite element analysis of large engineering structure.
