Abstract

According to the new aircraft design requirements and recent development of high-strength titanium alloy, the improved TB8 alloy production process was studied. The research mainly included low and high temperature tensile properties of TB8 alloy analyzed, designed A and B processes that were different in rolling parameters, and rolled grain improved with application of the special rolling process. The results of microstructure and mechanical properties analysis showed that improved manufacture process could produce TB8 high-strength titanium alloy bars with 1350Mpa strength and 8 % elongation.
