Abstract
The fatigue crack growth characters and fracture mechanism in damage tolerance type were studied for the TC4-DT alloy plate of 30 mm in thickness by rolling in α+β phase region using MTS-810 low cycle fatigue mechanism after heat-treatment. The results show that the fatigue crack spreaded not only round the primary α but also ahead directly spliting it. The cracks in the fore-crack region and the fast growth region were mainly in the form of micro-cleavage fracture; and spreaded in the form of strip mechanism in the stable spread region with some behaviors of micro-cleavage fracture.
