Abstract

The textured (BiNa)_0.5TiO₃-BaTiO₃ (NBT) ceramics was fabricated by tape-casting with the plated-like Bi_2.5Na_3.5Nb₅O₁₈ (BINN5) particles as template. Effects of the template content on the microstructure, the texture fraction of the ceramics were investigated. The results showed that the textured NBT lead-free ceramics was successfully prepared by tape casting processing. The texture fraction were increased with the increase content of BINN5. The texture fraction had a maximum value as the sintering temperature was 1225°C and the optimize content of template was 20%.
