Abstract
The riblet method was used in noise reduction experiment. The shape of riblet was shown. Two values of riblet width S:0.06, 0.10mm was used in the experiment. The frequency range of noise was from 2 kHz to 50kHz. For both water flow velocities used, the maximum flow noise reduction was 5 dB when S=0.10mm. The flow noise reduction depended on water flow velocity, noise frequency, and riblet width.
