Abstract

A method of transmission loss testing for micro-nano optical fiber (MNF) was studied experimentally. Combined with standard fiber loss testing methods of cut-back and backscatter, a new method of MNF transmission loss testing was designed. Some MNF samples drawn in this experiment were tested by this new method and the results show that the new method is effective.
