Abstract
Carbon/carbon composites (C/C) were prepared by thermal gradient chemical vapor infiltration (T-CVI) technology. The effects of heat treatment temperature on the graphitization degree, the hardness, the bending strength and the friction performance of C/C composites were discussed. The results show that the graphitization degree of C/C composites are enhanced with the increasing of the heat treatment temperature, and graphitizing energy peak of C/C composites is at 2200°C nearly. The bending strength of C/C composites increases with the increasing of the heat treatment temperature to 2000°C, and then decreases for further increasing the temperature. The hardness and the friction coefficient of C/C composites are reduced with the increasing of the heat treatment temperature.
