Abstract
The effects of fast neutron irradiation on critical current density (Jc) and microstructural characteristics of highly textured YBCO bulks prepared by powder melting process (PMP) have been investigated. Five similar samples were irradiated by fast neutrons with different fluences. The results indicated that the critical temperature (Tc) of PMP specimens decreased insignificantly after irradiation with fluences up to 6.1×1017 n/cm2, and the Jc values increased monotonously with radiation doses.
