Abstract

The conventional chemical sensitizations (sulfur-, gold, sulfur-plus-gold and reduction-sensitization) were used to sensitize the AgBr emulsions with about 140 nm of grain size, covered in PTG coating with PVA as a binder, in order to examine the effects on sensitivities of PTG materials. The results showed that the chemical sensitizations were still quite effective for PTG system with hydrophilic PVA to increase sensitivities significantly, but not fog levels.
